I dont work in a legal field per say. I work in the audio field and when i was in college the big thing it seemed to me was where the mony goes. Law suits generaly start because your either gaining cash or causing another to loose cash. I dont see how using a picture in a game would cause alot of commotion Unless your senerio all of a sudden was played millions of times and makeing lots of revinue or Slandering the folks where the image came from costing them face. But i also feel its better to get permission thats the best route.

This is a world war simulation Map with starting units on all sides and adjustments to country income.

there are 16 Superpowers and i am updating there starting income,Troops, and troop locations every play.

Best to start with 6 people or more.

Recamended settings are
Rares-HIGH
Turns-100 time 4 min.
100 Add citys on
Joins 100(joins start with alot of map and if there capital is gone the naboring countrys they control should be enuff to regain it
Capital Game 4-5 turn hold(Alows lates a chance to get there capital and join the game)

In a 2 player game for faster combat its better to start out 1 country away or right on top of each other.

Ok this is the place to discuse it.

I will update it as needed but for now here is what i can tell you.

1939-1940 there were 2 wars the 1 in Poland (Fall Weise) with germany and the other in Finland With russia. At this time Russia and germany had a pact to devide Poland into 2 parts after the country had fallen.

The outcome was that russia did not get finland by the end of 1939 but Germany gained poland.

The senerio needed to reflect the time limit of Sep-Dec so the senerio is only 10 turns long. It also needed to have a way to win that was closer to real world then just capital capture because even though france lost there capital later in the war there troops were placed in the UK. so in game turms its a conquest game. the Allied players would be wize during this short senerio to alow a fallen country to take 1 of there citys till the team can regain a capital for them to stay in the war.

On the firt turn all units that were historicly in those countrys during 1939 are placed on the maps in areas as close to where they actualy were. so if you dont have 6 at the beginning of the war late joins will loose those bonus troops they would have goten on the first turn. I recamend Join till turn 10 so that people can enter the war and change the ballance of power.

Senerio is set up for 6 players and Winner is determined by team with Highest Sp on turn 10.
Recamendations for smaller numbers of players are
1V1 is france VS Germany(france you want to grab Britton on turn 1 for better Play)
2V1 is france and britton vs germany
3V1 France Poland and finland VS genmany
3V2 France Britten Poland Vs Germany,Russia
6 is max players

Anybody who has info that is lacking or Unit info on subs or starting units that are not placed right please let me know here.

Ive put alot of work into the senerio and after you play it i would be verry hapy if you were to rate it for me.

O yea there is another counter Send your big stack at your target in waves IE 100 bombers in 10 10 bomber stacks at the target insted of 100 bombers in 1 stack. some will move some will stay and if your outnumbering your oponent you will kill both the attacking and defending location.

OK this argument is kinda Lop sided so let me join in.
Lets say you have 1 million tanks in a city and your prepairing an attack on a city with 1 tank in it
First off it takes you alot longer to prepair your tanks to attack that city so the 1 tank city should move first.

Second. If while your fuleing your 1 million tanks you spot incoming bad guys your not going to sit there and continue fueling your tanks your going to engadge with the bad guys then after the engadgement say WOW that was only 1 tank and then go back to refueling your tanks and if there is time left in your turn and all your tanks get filled slaughter that empty city.

Now As far a a Game Mecanic goes I love it! Becasue i find it Unrealistic for a general to put all there troops in 1 city and leave the rest of the planet without an army. I Love when people play this way and i take full advantge of it by flying in 5 Merine while i pin down there entire army in 1 spot.

Now how to combat it.
Dont stack all your troops! 100 tanks kill more but 4 stacks of 25 tanks running in a defensive line gets a defence bonus, have a better area they can hit and require 4 units to stop the line. This also stops Merine from advanceing behind your tank line.

Alot of people play the overkill teqnike as i call it of Unit stacking and its a good stratagy, But again if you plan around it you can deal with it while still launching a decent offence.

i have played games where i let my oponent take my capital with a huge army while i actualy out number them in units but there smaller stacks and they think they win Untill i fly 2/3s of it back at my cap regaining my cap and continueing to advance around the board.

Awsome Fix! i had a few issues with all those things you adressed. Saves alot of time going back and makeing changes too.

Here is my new list.
Unit Picture section. Add pic for player only(name) EX england infentry 1 pic+name Germen inf Dif pic. name

Add an option for late joiners to get All the things they missed in the senerio when they join EX turn 1 i put units into play for counrtys a guy joins on turn 2 he dont get them.

Last one.

Lock a country. Make a counrty goto war, piece change sides ecetera in the events alowing for lets say russia not helping germany after 1939. But before 1939 they can so in the events it would change sides in 1940 in a team game. This one is tricky but i think it would be used alot.

Im only adding more sugestions to keep the ball rolling and am over joyed with the quick responce to the first update to them! Good work and keep it up! Thank you.

The New senerios are awsome! I feel its a Wonderfull way to add more to a good game without spending man hours paying people to decide what the comunity likes.

I do agree there is a can of abuse that is opend like making a senreio that SP spams. So i think the solution to this would be to Have You the developers Put a Oficial seal onto those senerios that are genuine and alow SP to be normal and put all others into a tryal state where you get 10% SP till it is deciced its not a spam then move it to just open or some mid level where people get sp but not as much as a normal game or an offical Senerio.

I would also like to see More rate catagorys and a selection for the designer to fill out some thiing like
Difficulty
Era
Fun
Game length
number of players for good play
Balance


you know kinda like stats for the senerio that apear when you click on it to decide to play it.

Another thing i would like is to see AW force people when the senerio is over to chose to rate or decline. This i feel is fair for those who have put in hard work but folks either dont know or dont feel like fining time to rate the senerio.

i feel this last addition would help you to decide what senerios to try out for official rating. for trying ever one would not be posible.

Well im going to say i love being able to make games up and try them out. So im posting a few ideas to help inprove the Senerio Build Part.

1st i made a map and it requires 6 people to play the best. i Would like to make it so that if only 2 people play they can chose all the countrys up adn play it as if they were 6 players Kinda like i get russia then you pic france Ect. Under the curent system you can only assign number of players but if you dont have the players the senerio dosent play right

2 Under Edit, the ability to change starting income, player names and teams without haveing to delete and redue them.

3rd ability to take a small map say europe and increase it to say Eurasia. I would like this option because it alows me to tool small maps for ballance then turn on 2 of the maps to see how they will work on a biger playing field.

All in all i love the builder, its simple and quick. Just hard to go back and adjust ballance for some things like forgeting to add starting income.

Ok i built a wonderful work war senerio and i need to fix countrys starting income and some spelling but i cant figure out how to do it without deleating the info i have already saved.
Where is the edit for changing those things after you have the players countrys and units already placed?

There is no way to end a senerio other then surender or victory. I was just in one that was WAY long and way ballanced and me and my oponent wanted to do a DRAW. is there a way to end a senerio other then victory? Some of them are verry long and players may run out of time to play and want to call it even.

Ok i read the post's more closely now i have Updated info.

Population movement.

I would suggest it be limited to 1 unit per turn in population from a country drawing a Migrant population icon on the map that you can move a set number of spaces that oponents can attack.

your Income remains the same while your population is moveing UNLESS killed. then your production in the Start city is reduced by 10% or so.

If you move all population from a city the city should become a ruin or some other kind of map marker that no longer has any value or worth and people can not move into it.

As far as efecting income. I feel the population ganing city should increse by half of what the Population loosing city looses. this way there is a benifit and a Negative to moving population and in real world the new population would at first be a drag on the economy of the gaining city but in time would make it welthy.

Im likeing the Idea of population interaction in the game the best! Would this also include the ability to use scorched earth tactics(Burn and pillage) to remove citys from the map by droping there population to 0? Also would i be able to move all people to one city and will it require units to move them or do they just go where i say to? Lastly Will there be a percentage that refuse and become militent or abandon to another city for safe haven?

Im still feeling that the detection capability of units is a little small. 1 Merine on my enemys side of the map always scores me 10 citys. the spy plane and city range should be a little higher but not alot maybe about the distance of a 8th inch on full screen full zoom. i mean i can practicly park in a city now with out detection. Though i do like the way it is and if its not broke then dont fix it. Now im contradicting myself lol.

I've Played alot of games with Spy's in them. and the way you get them is
A) you have a spy of your own in the city
B) Assassin's; Used to detect and kill spys

spy's should be able to tell you things you dont normaly know maybe how much gold there at or hidden troops.
Assassins on the otherhand should work like Spy a spy but only for the city there in And they look for spys in that city to kill them.

I dont think spys or assassins should be targetable by troops unless detected.

EX. Spy is in my city checking out what im building and how much gold i have. I will never know


Then i build 1 assassin in that city because i feel my oponent knows something some how and he spots the spy.

Problem is that if you make it an upgrade then you will need a way for people who dont have spy upgrade to counter it. So i think it should be concidered before you put a cost to it.

You could always add an aircraft carrier and not alow planes to end there turn over water but in return give them a better move. As well as giving ships a better move.

I belive the Air planes are not able to move as they would on a real map and an increse in there move would bring the issues with the map more in line with real world.

I think That the timer does need work. though your idea would slow the game down considerably. Maybe alowing a 20second extention button on the bottom by the end turn button you can only use maybe every 10 turns or so that adds another use after so many turns would work here
Example: first 10 turns go by you get 1 and dont use it then another 10 go buy and now your finding you need more time. so now you have 2 turns where you can extend YOUR turn only by 20 seconds.

Verry True, As of now though your lerned to:
A) watch for late game joins
B) Better protect your capital
C) use the options more
D) a new stratagy.

Though most people look at trolling as a detriment to the game i always alow Max turns in my games and have been trolled by up to 6 diferent players over and over in the same game. Did i loose, Yes eventualy but the SP i gained from them was way more then i would have gained in a non trolled game.
Remember there are weeknesses to trolling and here are a few.
after you blitz if you loose all your troops you will loose
if they build max troops and dont conqure any land they will generaly run out of mony fast(Not in 25-50k game)
Bombers,airdefence and High mobility works well against trollers.
Your general lowers your unit stacks cost so keep him neer your capital with a ton of troops to stop a troll or slow them down.

Im Bad at copy Past But here it is. If i goto my own player stats it shows a trophy and the typs of units i killed. but if i goto the one in the top right it shows me my medals but not all the units are listed seperatly but grouped IE naval units killed insted of distroyers killed,transports killed and subs killed

I think your onto something here. The weeknesss with USA is it gets taken out really fast with Merin. so if you make more places for it this will slow down the merine blitz some.
here is an idea how about spliting it into time zones then spliting those into north south.

On the cost you could do a 3 way split. North Atlantic(USA), Mid Atlantic(USA) South Atlantic (USA) to split up more of the income more evenly.

Also i do have a Question do you need to hold Hawii and Alaska curently to have whole country bonus? Maybe you could add some type of bonus for holding countrys with lots of diferent sections.

Im not complaining. Im stating that the game would ballance out some more. Forcing a more thought out stratagy then stack, grab and attack. By allowing smaller countrys to build troops and bigger countrs to hord welth but weekening them by haveing to move those troops longer distances.

Ok ive Played alot of games of AW and one of the things i think is that the income if fine. Being based on number of countrys and all is logical.
But i continue to think the deffence side of the game is lacking.

Ive ran alot of Questions through my mind on is it units or lack of def. units Ect. I'm not shure But basicly i think there are 3 phases of the game.

In the early game your deciding on things like what countrys to grab who is going to be your alli and grabing land.

In the mid game you either batteling to maintain land or to get more this is where your useing your stratagy and figuring out your oponents weekness.

durring the end game your either not able to produce troops due to lack of land or funds or your the guy beating people down with huge stacks of troops.

So i think the fix to the defence side is bosting the loosing players ability to defend. this can be done in many ways that are not implimented. One way i think would be to lower the cost to buy troops. This would alow you to better geinforce with lower income thereby strengthining the weeker countrys. while the big ones would be able to build there max troops and thats it. leaving them a surpluss of income.

I feel this is the fix im looking for because right now you cant compeet with a small country VS a large one. Iceland for example can only build 1 troop every build week shoulden't Iceland get to atleast choose what troop it can build? As of now i belive the income is so low that you can build up to a distroyer.

Now if the cost ofall troops across the board were lets say 20% less this would make big countrys produceing lots of troops have excess cash or build more or the same as before but it would allow countrys with lower income to defend a little better by being to build 5 infentry insted of 4 or 3 or even 2 due to a lack of funds.

without a good cheep defencive unit in the game its verry hard at the end of the game to defend. Add in the loose of your cash and it becomes almost imposible if not imposible.

Im shure this would cause issues with some stratagys early on but those 2 can be adjusted to reflect a diferent troop cost and would also alow for a new stratagy where you countrys can produce 5 extra troops each.
