Punish leavers

Games are very often ruined because people leave. There needs to be a game mechanic that discourages leaving. Something like -1000 SP for a leaver.

This is a good idea. But instead of -1000 per leaver. We should make it like 5-10% of total SP. This way it forces people to think and not just join to troll.

The player might had smth to do and forgot about it,he might had been told by his parents to close the pc(or his parents came sooner ),he might had smth important to do that was unexpected or even his pc might had crushed(which leads to auto-kick or easy kill).


I could find more to say but I think it is not necessary because you get my point.


Edit:If the player was a troll or you think he was then just ban him from your games.

There should always be a penalty for ruining an experience for other players. You basically waste time of another player by leaving the game. And if you really need to go, who cares. Take the penalty. It is only a game.

Just no. Stop making this game a prison, it's supposed to be fun and not retarded. How you'll explain it to newbies? They will leave and leave again and loose all their SP, quit the game and AW will die. You idiots.

If it's only a game, stop having penalties for leaving it. Everyone doesn't always leave games just to troll. Stop attempting to punish the majority for the idiocy of a few.

Clearly you don't understand the entire concept of this idea. Obviously there will need to be major thought processes on this. No one is butthurt. But for those players who wait 20+ minutes to find a game, just to have someone leave within the first few turns is outrageous. Considering that you don't understand why some people might like this idea is probably because it hasn't happened to you yet. Imagine waiting for a game, for example a standard WW1 map where you NEED 11 players in order to play it and waiting 30+ minutes before someone joins just to see that someone leaves it in the first few turns. You would probably be upset since you wasted so much time. I am sure I would be because I am here to try to have fun playing a game, and I don't want a troll wasting even more time.

OK, I get what you're saying. But they might not be leaving by choice, which is my point. Often I've had to leave games I'm winning because I had no time to complete them,ad they went on longer than I thought. If such penalties are introduced, they should be limited to scenarios only.

yeah, why do you play 3v3, if 1 player leaving turn 1 will ruin the game

-500sp if you leave in the first 3 turns, because some players have to leave because of urging circumstances
and sometimes i cap someone on turn 2/3 and maybe he would like to leave rather then surrender the game so more then 3 or 5 is unnecassary.

Agree, leavers can ruin a game, joining a team game is like tossing a coin, which is sad.
Should be %sp of the level, only before x turns, plus you could be exempt once a day/week.

I don't really see why there is timeout and surrender separately, timeout is surrending right?
Timeout doesn't even show in your game history, that little 'Games abandoned %' won't stop some
circling their fingers around their nipples while watching the list of games they played having
only yelow numbers next to them. And there is no record who you have defeated and they
just timeouted before it. Even if you have genuine reason to timeout it isn't every second game,
everyone could bear the consequences.
