As I'm sure many map-makers know, adding 'events' for nations on scenarios leaves you with very few options / possibilities. So, why not add some more options for events? Such as:
- The ability to give / take a certain amount of money from a nation on a set turn
- Have an event only trigger if a certain city is captured / lost, (i.e, if the soviet union captures berlin they get 25 units in moskva or w/e)
- The ability to increase / reduce income for a certain nation
- The ability to increase / reduce income for a certain nation if a certain city is captured / lost (same idea w/ first one)
What do you think?
(Note: I know the editor still isn't implemented, it was just an idea)

Well, you can do all of it with events by adding countries or units (decrease / increase income). There's only a problem with that idea if city is captured, as it's harder to code.
