Especially in world maps, (and a few Europes) I've noticed that sometimes I buy lots of certain types of units (such as Air Transports, which are very expensive) if I'm preparing a large assault on Europe from America, etc., and once the assault is a victory (if it IS a victory ), I often find myself spending money to maintain those units I have no more use for.

Wouldn't it be good for the admins (after HTML5 is complete, of course) to implement an option so a player can disable/de-commission his un-wanted units without having to go to the nearest neutral city to do it?

No support, just suicide the units or dont buy them in the first place

Also use marines to cross oceans

Well, I have to say I dis-agree with you on some of your points: 1st: Air transports are in many cases necessary, and have to be bought. 2nd: Subs don't have the range OR capacity that air transports have.

Still, if no support, no need for me to push it any further...

It's a tricky topic... once you've bought a unit, if you're able to just give it away and avoid yourself a high prize for its maintenance, that would mean that most noobs would care even less about the money they spend on units or how they manage them....

Imagine you're America, you send 100 troops to Asia and other 100 troops to Eu. You defeat Eu and now only Asia is left. You'd sell back your Eu units and concetrate on Asian production. That's not fair in my opinion. You've bought something and now your responsable for it. You gotta think the consequences of what you buy, where you buy it and where you drag it to. Money management is the key word.

In your example, it's far far more efficient to buy transport ships (which can be walled around with destroyers, cost less money, less maintenance, less reinforcements wasted on transports and much more useful). Even submarines are far more efficient since once you arrive to the war field, subs can be used as offensive units as well and they're not detected easily. Surprise attacks are the best.

Yeah, I guess so...
