GW Germany vs. SM Ukraine?

So, for the longest time I've used GW Germany.

I have yet to witness an instance where GW Germany has a decisive victory against a good SM Ukraine player.

What the hell does it take to beat SM Ukraine as GW Germany? Why is it so hard .-.

Just lookout for the rush and don't go too far beyond your cap to get those pesky militias back.

And GW's weakness to rushing combined with SM's prowess at rushing means it would take a really bad SM player to win in this situation.

Hipster blitz/nc germany is good too ;3 Go steal his rnw, finland, belarus and gg.

It should be impossible to win unless your opponent makes a severe mistake. And since SM Ukr is so easy, I wouldnt count on that.

DS Germany is quite fun, but vs SM Ukraine? lol. Imp works ok as does PD, but SM Ukraine should win vs Germ in mah experience

I've recently won 2 duels against rank 8s who played SM Ukraine.

I've done it too. Once against a good player. I lured his general into Berlin and trapped him in there & set up my marines for a recap. Still, I think SM Ukraine is a superior pick.

doesnt matter, these were probably inexperienced rank 8s, goblin and vril are right, you wont win as germany vs a good sm ukraine player, and heres why, the sm player can pressure you from turn 2 as your cap is in range, and all the other caps you expanded into too lol. you however do not havve the luxury of such range, so as a result you can either

1: freak out and pour everything into you cap anticipating an sm rush, or 2, attempt to expand assuming he wont rush and attempt recap if he does.

both are very bad options.

with a bit more distance between both caps and more breathing room for gw, gw will rape sm, but just dont fight sm ukraine as germany, youre putting yourself at a great disadvantage.

All three very respectable rank 8s- beaten by GW Germany.

If you can effectively prevent or disable SM's rushing ability, and force it to make a long drawn out war, you might have a chance.

I'll admit, in each instance I was very lucky. I probably would've been better off posting screen shots of each turn.

yes because gw is an economic strat, and if you use it right you can fuck ukraines income spamming marines into his moneymakers.

but even still they probably just didnt play it right.

you have only beaten my sm ukraine with pd germany, once, not many times. and due to lucky rolls. You attempted to use the same pd germ on eagle's ukraine only to lose after i send him a few prs on what you did, which i screenshotted to you after the game. you beat my gw ukraine with if germany once also. You can try gw, but you will lose. My internet problems are resolved and ive my old mouse back, i will play against various forms of your germany as many times as you please if youd like to shut you up.

I beated SM ukraine with germany, and people say it was <<<impossible>>>. Why gw cant beat sm? In a serious vs serious player, even though small, every country have chance to beat other country.

i never said that either. id never even played a 1v1 on africa before so i had no idea. at a glance i guessed cameroon would be stronger but i was wrong, simply on the grounds that you could reach ethiopia faster and hit it harder. tophats said it was unbeatable, not me. Stop incorrectly paraphrasing me, and also stop encouraging people to play disadvantaged country/strat combos.

dont play germany vs ukraine, if you can avoid it, play turk, but if you must use a west pick, germ or italy is the best bet.

Just an update to this dead thread...

It is entirely possible to beat SM Ukraine as GW, however it hinges entirely on mistakes made by your opponent.

I feel like that is really the same in any strategy on any map regardless of the circumstance. You really don't lose because you are not as godly of a player as your opponent, but rather because you made a miscalculation at some point in the time you were playing.

Unless SM Ukraine hops from Scandinavia to UK, while maintaining a strong Central European presence, it is entirely possible to beat it, even with pro players.

i Used lucy bastard as germany and beat a rank 9. but rank 9+ is hardest because they have the upgrade to vercome you as a ukraine player

Gureilla warfare is weak at start unless you start in low income map

its a lot easier to start with SM or PD, as you already have good units to start with
