SP multiplier

I think we must halt the sp multiplier from at-war.
This game is declining in numbers and won't grow as long as we have sp multiplier.
This is a discussion about sp multiplier.

Tools can serve as a good or bad thing, it's all up to the person (or in this case people) who uses it.

I believe we avoided an imminent rank-inflation crisis with the SP multiplier, but many maps were judged unjust as well. There is this thread made for questions about the SP multiplier (http://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=28183) , but my concern in regards of the flaws in the current indicator used to measure the Nerf has not yet been resolved.

IMO using the average SP per turn is a better indicator. With this you're missing the actual game duration which could influence in the average SP per player but not in the average SP per turn.

Valid concern, however from what we have noticed, SP per turn tends to not be a good indicator due to a number of key reasons, the presence of stealth units in a game, the distance between cities, and income. Distance between cities and city reinforcement rate tend to be the main reason most maps have low SP per turn but high SP per player.

To my understanding the mean it's an indicator of all the data, so the SP distribution between turns per player shouldn't matter much. If you were to get low SP in some turns and high SP in other turns, the average should reflect that. Say you get 0 SP for 4 turns, then 150 SP in the 5th turn your average would'be 30 SP per turn (150 / 5).

Low SP per turn but high SP per player only makes sense when the turn duration is long enough, imo...

If the game lasts 75 turns then there's no reason to reduce those player's SP who wasted tons of ours into the game.

map sp multiplier need to have 1.5x the sp multiplier to be lower. but its 1.0% of the the map

They did and still do, I don't care it took me2 years to properly get to rank 10 playing every day, scenarios for custom maps get released and there are some who do it in 3 months now. Rank inflation is a serious issue.
