It had one of strongest ancient fighters and one of best ships at that time which were called Liburne, which were stronger than roman empire ships. They were so strong that roman empire couldnt get through our fleet until our admiral decided to become a traitor and give them our fleet in exchange of becoming illyrian king, which after a few years rebelled against rome and died.

It wasn't a "bridge between eastern and western Europe" since western Europe wasn't shit back then and contact between Greece and Italy/Carthage happened through Sicily and Lower Italy and even if it was important contact was still only maintained through Greek colonies in France like Massilia so nice bullshit there, as for the Liburna sure it was a good ship but in the end the Romans crushed the Illyrians in all three of the Illyrian Wars and subjugated it eventhough the Romans were also fighting the Carthaginians at the time. Albanian other name is Arnaut which is turkish for 'homeleaver/theonewhowillnotreturn' because Turks resettled people from Azerbaijan(Albanians) to Balkan in 16th century to create Muslim group loyal to Turkish Empire to help them fight Christian countries like Serbia, Greece and Bulgaria.
