The Best FPS

Just wondering... got all of these, and again wondering which one to beat.

Wow, I haven't played a good FPS for years. Most FPS games nowadays are boring as hell. I played alot of the recent FPS. Crysis 2, Homefront, COD:BO, COD:MW2, Metro2033, Bioshock2, MoH2010. None of them could convince me. Maybe I'm just not made for the simplicity of these games.

The "Operation Flashpoint" and "Armed Assault" Series are some of my favourite games. Though they are more like tactical shooters and don't have much in common with generic FPS games.
Fallout: New Vegas is one of my all time favourites, though I don't know if the shooter elements in this game are enough to call it a FPS.

Deus Ex has been a great FPS, back in the days. I also liked the Hitman and Splinter Cell Series.

Just so you know all those games you like aren't FPS but TPS games.

All those games have the ability to be played in First Person. However, they were ment to be played in Third Person, so yeah, you might have a point there.

Cod 2, the franchise died after cod 4 with the addition of perks, killstreaks and attachments. Now every new cod is basically the same thing with one or two new or remodeled guns and possibly a different setting.

Fallout 3 was meant to be played in the third person with first-person elements scattered throughout. It is not considered a true FPS.

Nobody uses the 3rd person option lol....I use it when im walking through the wasteland so damn molerats dont sneak up on me, damn good game.

All 3d fps games are just a built upon from the first successful one, Wolfenstein 3D, now it's all just increasing graphics, creating smoother gameplay and adding extra gimmicks and stuff, the concept is the same.

So for me, the best fps game's ever are Unreal tournament, doom, quake, Heretic, Hexen, Strife, Marathon, Witchaven, Duke Nukem 3D Starsiege:tribes.

Oh damn... forgot to add duke nukem to the poll... sorry to those duke fans!

Well i dont actually have any of them so i went with what i like the most

Ahaha shit game

Halo in general is a lot more fun, mainly due to the environments/cool weapon types.

CoD and Goldeneye are fun too, a lot more fast paced/trigger happy than Halo though.
