Hi. My name is Owl. I am level 4. I think I am a decent player. But I suck at my early game.

My three favourite strategies include GW, MoS, and PD. I have the most experience with MoS, and one of my problems is my early game. Specifically the first 1-5 turns. A lot of the times I dont know what country to choose. I know a bit about the strategies above and an idea of what countrys to choose. I know
South Korea is a decent choice for PD or MoS. It seemed to work pretty well when I was playing with MoS. I know that MoS is an expensive strategy to use while GW is a lot cheaper.

But the thing I feel like I will never get a grip on is the first few turns. I have like no creativity when it comes to that. 75% of the time I take my Marines or Militia or whatever, and send them to the cities. Then I see other people and they buy 2 planes and send them to XXX country with 6 tanks and cap it. Then take 8 marines and send it to XX on a water transport.

If you got any tips your willing to share I'd greatly appreciate em.

Well, first: Decent...maybe...in beginners room, you are the highest rank, but most people in clans would say you are a noob.

2: stop playing MoS, it's not that usefull until you have the marines upgreades. go with PD instead.

3: in whole world games you should pick some of these countrys: China North, China South, India if you have 50k or 25k, Germany, Turkey, UK, later you should try Ukraine when you have SM, USA Great Lakes, USA Atlantic, USA, California, Iran, if your game is really filled up you can try South africa or Brazil Southeast.
3.1: if you are in europe only, pick in decreasing order: Turkey, Ukraine (only if you got SM and one AT upgreade), UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Sweden, RC, RNW, RV, Norway, Finland, everything below this sucks big balls...

4: you should join a clan, as i can't post the expansions here. some tipps are: as UK, wall london and send all troops to Paris, as Spain go NC and wall Madrid and go full Rome.
you should ask EvoL and TitansCreed if they take you, they are good clans

Hey there Owl, you said it yourself! You say you have little creativity when it comes to openings. Think outside the box, if you're playing MoS that sub+marine combo is lethal and you can do magic with it. Don't make AT's first turn unless you have spare money, I know expansions are limited but try mixing your expansion to getting both income and high spawn points and balance it depending on what you need most. Also don't take cities unless you take its capital first or else it useless! All I can say now is look around on the game strategy & tips forum, get a good clan, learn the expansions.

You usually want to expand as efficient as possible. That means taking all the cities that you can that would be effective to your game plan. Try copying what other people do early game and imitate that. Once you understand the basic concept, try to reinvent the wheel if neccessary

Hey guys, thanks for the tips.

Now, ive been playing a lot of 1v1's on Europe lately. I win most of them. I know one of my biggest weakness and for once its not early game expansion. Im just wondering if there is a way I could improve by lvl ones and two's. I play Serbia with GW. (5k)

This is what I do

Turn 1: Wall cap with Infantry. buy all the militia's I can. Send them to Bulgaria. Depending on where my opponent has started, I may wall bulgaria in turn 2 or 3.

Turn 2: Hire more milita's. Send them to Romania

From there I go for the cities that I think will be important to get. Poland, Ukraine, Germany. I also take Greece when Serbia's reinforcements and Bulgaria's reinforcements come back up.

This has been pretty effective in the past. Although ive seen someone choose Portugal, Take Spain turn 1, France turn 2, Germany turn 3, Italy turn 4, my wall turn 5 and my cap turn 6, defended it for 2 turns and won. So im wondering if this is one of the most effective ways playing Serbia.

Well I'm not experienced with GW but I can 100% tell you that attacking with marines are better than militia. Marines are only 80 cost with GW, which makes it an explosive cheap strategy, try using more marines instead of 100% militia focus.

If you use GW, then yes you shall wall with starting infantries. If not, try to make militias and wall with them. Expansion depends on your oponent's pick. If he is near or can easily reach a country you want to attack, it is better not to attack it or rush it. Also, first turn as serbia GW (3k or 5k), is better if you make marines instead of militias first turn.
About the portugal thing, Serbia is a pretty good pick on 3k, and good in 5k (Poland better in 5k). It would beat west (Ireland, belgium, portugal) most of the times. I am surprised you could not recap, considering you are GW and your oponent SM (that's how he reach from spain to france, france to germany, germany to italy that fast). Even if he had beneswitz (belgium, netherlands plus full switzerland) and some west caps, he wouldn't be able to hold GW recap in balkans. Also, never forget to take the remaining cities of a country, specially when you are GW.

I would disagree, especially when attacking another player. If you are unable to tale the capital yet, out of range or what not its good to take cities. Then when you get the capital you have high income and a lot of units. It really screws people up

He means expansion wise, aka against neutrals.
