Upgrades

If anything low ranks should have every upgrade and as you move up rank you loose upgrades, why make the game harder for low ranks and as you rank up the game gets easier?

This is actually op idea..... except for strats maybe

What so because the game is getting harder for you that makes it less fun? How does giving an advantage to the players who need it make low rank accounts powerful?

Go reset your upgrades narb and dont reapply them. Have fun!

I would do if everybody else was in the same position, the fact you couldn't have fun without upgrades shows you're stuck in a little autistic circle.

List of reasons not to do this:

- Atwar would be the only game ever that punishes players for playing more and ranking up
- the whole rank system would be rendered useless
- Low rank accounts become more valuable thus players spamming armies of alts
- this aids the elo farming alt spammers
- the strategy balance would be ruined rendering strats heavily affected by upgrades and the general useless(iron fist for example)
- The system would actually encourage players to play maps with low sp gains(which at current is rp and similar maps with ridicuous unit prod capabilities thanks to the applied sp multipliers)
- destroys the learning curve of the game as low ranks gain advantages that are gradually taken away from them. They wouldnt even appreciate the advantages they had.

There is problem with upgrades in AW, you need to play active (not 8h day) 2 years to get the important upgrades however I don't think that's the solution...

i agree this is prob troll thread, but in case it's not, it's simple really.

Less experienced players have fewer options since they would be overwhelmed with the dynamics. This is how we learn. Start with fewer choices/decisions, and as we become experienced, make more options available to increase the complexity of the game.

Starting off complex and then making it more simple is irrational - both from a learning perspective and from an enjoyment perspective.

Interesting idea, i think they should add a prestige system similar to that in call of duty, where maybe there is max 10 ranks but you can choose to prestige which will reset everything but you will get maybe a different colour shield ?

that encourages sp farming, not skill
