Back in the Day...
Generals came standard, no population casualties, no turn blocking, Blending didn't get turnblocked, you could walk over water (literally). The name of afterwind was a game that was macro-level visions of expansions, fights of connected empires and supply chains. Modern atwar seems not of large scale but of the technical small scale bullshit of trying to have literally 30% on all your turns land. One pushed people to maximize the map to try and find economies of scale, and the other is trying to reject every move you make, and make the game about ragequit.
In short, i miss the good ol days, and wish others could play the game i fell in love with, instead of this shit. Peace.

Now I don't agree with this, once I learnt to actually do my priority my tbs became usable while I got tbed less and less.
Yes it won't go to a 0 chance of being tbed, but tbing is still a skill.

Otherwise it wouldn't make sense that tbers like heat and gk are consistently getting their tbs off

I personally am trying to slowroll instead of rush, but I don't find slowrolling and never defending against a rush a skill.

It's almost as if you're trying to say "I miss the good old times when people didn't rush me, I could just play the entire game with one single t1 that maximises expansion"

Nothing really different from the argument regarding wfing t1 requiring no skill if you ask me. Wfing t1 is unskilled because then the game will devolve into who can rush hardest t2. How is that different from a game where the person that expands the most t1 will win?

Not to mention that any 'famous slowrollers' will practically be able to pressure their opponent (why would I, for example, defend my Balkans if I know I wont find a 30 stack in them?) Everyone has had to rush at some point. Yes, I do like lategames, but really without rushing, you're not going to get anywhere. It's almost impossible to slowroll someone if they choose not to be pressured.
