Surely this is counter intuitive to the main function Protocoins serve, which is to generate revenue for the game. What incentive is left for players to purchase them now?Whilst a nice idea, I can't see the logic.

you should make another currency for AW, another kind of protocoins earned from games you play and are only useful for 1-host custom maps and promote and go incognito and unlock a certain high cost upgrade(any of them like infantry range/cost upgrades) for like a month for some cost of course 2-buying a more expensive one month premium NOT buying a longer periods ones, as of now its as if when you get 500k SP you will get 5000PC which is a free life time premium
while a nice idea its for people who played alot to get free premiums but the game needs to generate money somehow

I've told Dave about this. Even if Dave disables lifetime, monthly is still going to be sustainable for FTP players (hell, even 200k SP a month is possible). This is just going to fuck the already nonexistent revenue. He should decrease this to like 1 PC per 300 or something.

The thing is, we are receiving a bit too much. If this game was some multi billion dollar company, I'd be over the moon, but this game needs funds to keep running.

This game isnt the multi billion company and to become one you need activity....AW weak point was always activity not enough people in it and now you put the 500 dollars lost in revenue monthly as a big problem but imagine what would happend if we had more activity.....a snowballing thing would happend where more people will bring even more people and the 500 dollar lost would be nothing compared to the actual gains of it....also is not like its so easy to reach R11 from r0....it needs years to happen if you are a nolifer let alone if you are a casual player playing 2-3 games a day. Stop being hypocrites and clowns with arguments like this.

Thats really generous. I was expecting 500-1000sp when i saw this. Old premium used to cost like 4-5k protocoins so theoretically you could keep yourself in prem through activity easily enough.

Yes, I see your rationale. My humble opinion though would be to cap the Protocoins at a certain limit to protect the intrinsic value, whilst providing an incentive to return after a set time period, maybe a week.
Edit: The extra resource allocation for moderation of farming maybe another point for consideration.

actually I like dave's idea and i think he also could have made protoshop items like sp boost and incognito mode cheaper so they come out of being useless
i've rarely seen one that spends PC's to buy incognito or sp boost, cuz their price isn't reasonal(it's too high).

You need 4999 for lifetime so hmm near 500k sp to get lifetime? Unless i am misunderstanding something here, you would need to get r11 from r0 to get lifetime like this? Seeing the current monthly highest sp is slightly less than 100k. So it would take 5 months of hardcore farming i guess to get premium. This is being active for 5 entire months?
To see how this effects the community who don't gain so much sp, we can look at 12th place. Just above 50k sp, that is 10 months of the same amount of effort to get it.

TL,DR if you stop people if they abuse this new feature using sp maps just remove the protocoins they gained from that map. Current rate seems fair.
