Very much needed feature.

You can already, once you have an alliance just take out all your units then whichever Ally can just put their units In. Something like that, maybe you have to end ally at the right time. But something like that is there

If you have 0 units in a city an ally can "ally cap" and take it from you. just be sure not to produce any units or move any units through the city
