• Coalition wars have arrived! In the current incarnation it's a kind of team game, where instead of team names you set coalitions. Only two coalitions can participate, minimum 3 players on each side, and a Leader or an Officer must be present on each side. Coalition war game has to be created by a Leader of an Officer in Coalition Wars room.

  • Coalition Points (CP). Each Coalition initially has 1000 points. When participating in Coalition wars, losing Coalition loses a certain amount of their points to the winning one. This amount depends on the difference between the CP of the two Coalitions. Here's the formula:

    CP1 / CP2 * 50, where CP of one coalition are divided on CP of another and multiplied by 50. Let's say your Coalition has 1000 CP and another one has 2000 CP. By winning, you would get 2000/1000*50 = 100 CP. By losing, you would lose 1000/2000*50 = 25 CP.

    This allows to get more points by playing against a stronger enemy, as opposed to leaching points from Coalitions much weaker than yours. Maximum CP per game: 100, minumum: 1.

    Please be warned that there will be a harsh penalty for trying to exploit the CP system (creating dummy Coalitions and farming their CP).

    Also:

  • Flying naval / swimming land units have been fixed.

  • Coalition chat has been fixed.

  • Jumping over a defence line (if it's close to a city) is no longer possible.



    UPDATE:

  • New feature for Team/Coalition War games - team colors (button located under the minimap).
    When switched on, it colors all the countries from the same team in the color of the player with the highest SP (from that team). Hovering over the country with the mouse will show its real color.

    Seems cool...but the CP sounds a little meh, espicialy for the bigger clans, who might have some players not fully accustomed to the game yet who will end up losing many matches and the leaders not even knowing, or that some clans could make dummy accounts and try and access a clan to work against it, but other than that, sounds great.

    An officer or a leader must be present from each participating coalition, so newbies won't be able to start a game and lose tons of points. Planting spies into rival Coalitions sounds absolutely awesome to me, though

    AHAHAHA- that already happened to me. Now I can't post clan secrets in my clans forums, seeing as there all known by whatever other clan sent a rat. But hey, it's clan warfare.

    Awesome setup with the coalition matches. I think maybe you should change it so that each coalition takes turns picking countries. We played a game against NoE and not a single one of us got to pick a country before their whole team was ready to go.

    Also, I don't know if there is a delay in the CP updating, but I'm not seeing any points added or subtracted

    It's a tiny tiny bug We'll update the CP manually, don't worry.

    Woo, hip, cheer, hurray. My least favorite thing about this game has been eliminated, I can now safely attack stacks of bombers with my boats without the fear of having them become useless afterwards.

    Also I love the idea of CP...um, that didn't come out right.

    CP delay is now fixed. Also, country selection order is now shuffled randomly, previously it was in the same order the players joined.

    Well, the idea is that you have to agree on the rules with the other coalition before starting the game. If you both think 3 vs 5 will be fair - go ahead, why not? If for some reason you cannot agree - just leave the game with the other coalition members. If you leave before Week 2, the CW will be canceled.

    When I first played this game I really loved the idea and how it was put into action, and still you guys are constantly improving it!


    Most interesting things in the forum are really getting implemented in the game. It surely is a whole lot of work, but I think that the game will be, and already is, worth it.
