Yes, is the best strategy

I use GC mostly but have begun to question it after the atWar upgrade, you gain 1, but lose three. Every time i look at that it makes me wince.

GW and PD

IF, SM, Imp!

I do say mate Imp does save the cost of the units, but I do enjoy Blitz too for rapid speed/advances on land/Sea.

MoS, NC, GW and RA, in that order.

MoS unless there are no stealth units and/or lots of water and/or poor countries.
NC if there is a lot of water (Eben, Lost Sea, Greek World, etc.).
GW if the map is poor (and has stealth units). However, if there is a lot of water, the slow and expensive transports make me default to NC.
RA - if you don't know what else to do, it's hard to go wrong with RA.

IF is great until you realize how crippling -2 range is for all units - militia can't even move without transportation (for modern tech maps and several fantasy maps, as well).

HW looks really dumb...more harm than good....

I rely on infantry too much for GC to be a good strat for me. I think it has potential, but the -3 attack for infantry, plus the -3 defense for tanks, really polarizes the usefulness of the units. I have not found the potential I assume is there.

Never used DS...heard that it is a recommended strat for Free Peoples of Middle Earth...I'll have to try that sometime...

LB is expensive, but it has its advantages...only ever used it once...I find that longer ranges and cheaper prices are the best sort of enhancements when choosing strats...LB doesn't make anything faster, and it raises the costs of everything.

I've used PD once, for the Helm's Deep scenario as the Elves. Works well there, otherwise, it's pointless. AtWar maps reward expansion and conquering. You are not doing much of that with PD...or Imp, for that matter.

Blitz has its advantages, but the only way anybody can beat me with that is if they really get a good hold of nearby territories. Otherwise, they just over-extend themselves and die quickly from the -1 defense.

SM looks like fun, but it is the most susceptible to other units (AA guns, +1 defense bonus for destroyers and subs). Maybe once I get Air Transport II and Cheap Transportation, I'll unlock SM...

Imperialist: Beast strategy

Lucky Bas and Iron Fist are what I used, if I use any, I use None as well. These are what I like because they are the 2 Strategies I have that are for ALL units.

Everytime I see the initials, I immediately think Space Marine, Imperial Fist, Planetary Defense too much time on dakkadakka.

Anyways, I usually go with Naval Commander, Imperialist, and Lucky Bastard. I usually win with Imp and LB, but NC is more of a 50/50 thing, which kinda sucks, since that's definitely my favorite.

Still toying with them and haven't tried them all. Would say I have found DS to work really well for me on the world map. Like MoS need to practice it more. RA and PD I feel confident with as well. But so far DS seems to suit my play style well. Didn't see it on the poll, so I didn't vote.

Love NC but i am forced to play PD

I'm surprised that Guerrilla Warfare isn't higher up, and more surprised about Imperialist. I guess times have changed, but I know what hasn't changed: Perfect Defense is still the most popular.

None. i like to play as an all rounder

Naval has always been my go to for the way I like to play, destroyer stats are cray cray, but looking to find ways to tweak my strategy for better land tactics.. any advice would be appreciated

Naval Commander is insanely flexible, Perfect Defense works just about anywhere, and Lucky Bastard is my go-to if I'm playing a moderate starting cash country like Spain, Poland, or Italy.
