Is premium worth it?

I am thinking seriously of purchasing a subscription for premium. I would like to know if it is worth the money or if I would regret it.

I don't regret it. I regretted only buying a 3 mo. instead of lifetime right off the bat. It's really advantageous if you want to host games or scenarios on anything but world map, and if you ever want to make maps or scenarios of your own. But hey, if all you want to do is play games other people host then, no, it's not worth it. Oh did I forget to mention the General, check it out, he can come in handy. Hope this helps ya.

If you can afford it, go full premium! I definitely don't regret it.

You should buy it if you really like this game.... because for your currently rank it won't be very useful since you have few SP. Unless you play/make new maps and scenarios, of course.

From rank 6 onward premium is really useful (specially general)

lies premium is useful for any rank (general defence costs only 45sp really big advantage against non premium low ranks)

Totally worth it. Most games you get for 20-30-40$ and you play less then 50 hours.
Atwar is worth getting lifetime subscription.

I don't think as rank 3 premium have much to offer. This, without take into account the fact that he haven't played the game enough for consider going premium.

By saying words such as "advantage", you are implying a very know secret. In Spanish we call them "Secreto a voces", something that is supposed to be a secret but we all know it is not:

"The game is free to play forever. There are a few extra features that you can purchase here, but they are strictly optional and just provide more variety,rather than buy you victories. It's very important for us to keep the game fair for everyone. As a welcome gift we have given you the Game Options pack which will last for three days."

Not lying, we both know the advantage of having general. If he want to buy premium, should be because he want to cooperate with the game, have more variety or just for play the scenario/map he enjoy rather than earning an "advantage".... in my opinion.

Top 200 players: 80% premium and 20% non-premium.

I would really like to make scenarios and play others', and use the advanced game options; I'm not that experienced with things like Generals.

Theoretically it might be better to create a new account for 3 days to see if premium is worth it for what you want to use it for before deciding either way

Perfectly sound reasons to get premium.
Besides making (not "just" hosting) maps and scenarios!

Then, go premium.

In the past you could buy the packs separately.... but you can only do it via kongregate now I guess.

It's worth it. You can try purchasing a month for about six bucks. If you like it and thinks it's worth it, go lifetime.

What you don't want to do is buy a monthly subscription each month, like I do. It can get expensive over time..

For low ranks, it offers them a discount on the sp needed for any upgrades, worth it.

For me 10% is not enough for pay real money.

As a general rule of thumb, I think I can safely say, if you work in black suits, it's worth your money.

If you work in light-colored cotton shirts, it might be worth it.

If you work in labor clothes, you probably have better ways to spend your money.

If you don't work, why (more importantly, how) do you have $40?

Confidetial. I would have to kill you if you knew how...

Like said earlier, if you can afford it, get lifetime. While I myself do not have premium (don't have the time though I might get it this summer), it offers a lot of extra stuff. As you gain experience, perhaps get involved in clans, and play scenarios, you get to know different things about mapmaking. And as a premium user, you can make maps. If you have any questions or need help, the forum is a great place. Furthermore, you can also just practice making maps and get better over time. Great maps take weeks if not months to make, so dont feel bad if after a day, you don't like what you have. Either way, this is a great game and regardless if you get premium or not, you'll meet a nice group of people and have a blast
