Okay my turn Acqui's 6 Tier System Noob- This player lacks the capacity to make anything but basic movements and understands little to no game mechanics. He likely cannot make realistic long term objectives. Regular- This player can make more complex unit movements. He can create simple walls and divides/combines stacks to his advantage. He also has a limited understanding of easily used strategies like RA, PD, and SM. Intermediate- This player can anticipate his own movements before he makes them, effectively gauging range for his stacks. His understanding of game mechanics is still limited but he is at least aware of things like turn-blocking and rewalling. Expert- This player thinks about the short and long term. He plans effectively and he has a solid grasp on all mechanics and strategies, even if he hasn't mastered them all himself. He always wf's every major stack and recycles transports to his advantage. Pro- This player has effectively mastered every viable strategy and can use anything from NC to GW. He can now effectively anticipate his opponent's movements and plan accordingly. His walls are always made with specific purpose and every unit he has is used to its utmost potential. He understands the importance of monies and manages his economy efficiently. Most importantly he has developed an intuitive sense for game dynamics and is able to play reasonably well in any contexts. Narb- This player made it to "Expert" but was unable to make the leap into the "Pro" tier. Instead he has reverted to noobish tendencies. He is probably a fairly high rank (9 most often). He often fails to wf his stacks or is too lazy/ignorant to wall important cities. He probably has an overdeveloped sense of self-worth and an unwarranted cocky attitude about gameplay. He won't take criticism for the most blatant errors and as a result he is forever stuck in a limbo state where he cannot improve but also cannot be worse. I was thinking of putting player examples but decided against it.

You can tell by reading the Narb one that Acqui had someone specific in mind when he wrote it...

I don't need tips on how to play because blitz is the ultimate strategy combined with my tactical wit (Check my win loss ratio) and FYI I CAN'T WALL IN QUICK GAMES BECAUSE I USE A TRACK PAD.
